Hush

A side-profile of a master blister beetle as it sleeps on a spent brittlesbush flower blossom on the Marcus Lanslide Trail in McDowell Sonoran Preserve in Scottsdale, Arizona in May 2019

A quiet place to lay my head,
a soft space to make my bed.
Soon the sun will rise, soon so will I.
Until then quiet, hush, be still.
Let me lie.
