I knew the cats would explore the top of the kitchen cabinets but my money was on Boo being the first to reach those heights. Not only was Trixie first, she’s made a repeat visit.

Sitting Idle
Coming from Oregon I have a handful of raincoats I use for different purposes. They’ve mostly been sitting idle since we moved to Arizona although I do stuff one in my backpack if there’s a chance of rain. One morning I took the raincoat out since it was going to be dry all day but I returned to find it had been put to use after all.
Followers of Light
During the day Sam, like a flower, moves to follow the sun and sleep within its warmth. Trixie, like a Trixie, moves to follow her beloved Samwise.
On Paws
Trixie is pretty good about keeping her claws retracted when she plays, the thing you have to worry about is when she’s snuggling all up in your face, if she’s excited she finds it hard to resist nipping your nose.

The Cat Hat
My wife (unseen in the chair) wears a cat hat, courtesy of Trixie who sometimes likes to press her body against your head and neck. Not too comfortable for us but it sure is adorable.
This Is How I Found Her
There’s a story here but I’m not quite sure what it is. Trixie likes laying and playing on the crinkle bag so I’m guessing she was playing with one of her shoestrings and fell asleep with the crinkle bag on top of her.

“Let’s Get Outside” is an apt slogan for my hiking shoes but not for little Squeaks who, like all our cats, is indoors only. She doesn’t spend much time in cardboard boxes, sometimes I think she tries it just to understand why brother Boo loves them so.
